LHM Technologies Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to support the purchasing and supply chain functions within our aerospace manufacturing environment.

The Junior Buyer is responsible for assisting with the procurement of raw materials, components, tooling, supplies, and services required to support production and business operations. This position works closely with suppliers and internal departments to help ensure materials are purchased at competitive prices, meet required quality standards, and are delivered according to production requirements.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the procurement of raw materials, components, tooling, consumables, and other supplies required for manufacturing operations.
- Prepare, issue, and maintain purchase orders in accordance with company requirements and established purchasing procedures.
- Obtain and review supplier quotations and assist with price, lead-time, and supplier comparisons.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding purchase orders, delivery dates, backorders, shortages, and other outstanding issues.
- Monitor open purchase orders and proactively identify potential delivery delays that could impact production.
- Communicate material availability and supplier issues to the appropriate internal departments.
- Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Shipping/Receiving, and Finance to support operational requirements.
- Assist with sourcing new suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations.
- Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, purchase order, and purchasing records within the company's ERP system.
- Review purchase requisitions and ensure required information and approvals are received before issuing purchase orders.
- Assist with resolving discrepancies involving pricing, quantities,



delivery, documentation, or damaged/non-conforming materials.
- Coordinate with Quality regarding supplier quality concerns, documentation requirements, and non-conforming material, as required.
- Support supplier performance monitoring, including delivery, quality, responsiveness, and pricing.
- Assist with cost-saving initiatives and opportunities to improve purchasing efficiencies.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable aerospace quality requirements.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and traceability for purchased materials and components.
- Assist with inventory and material planning activities as required.
- Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with suppliers.
- Perform other purchasing, supply chain, or administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- College diploma or university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–2 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing experience is preferred; recent graduates with relevant education or co-op experience may also be considered.
- Previous experience in an aerospace, manufacturing, machining, or industrial environment is considered an asset.
- Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain principles.
- Experience working with an ERP/MRP system is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Comfortable communicating with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery requirements, and outstanding orders.

Pay: $38,814.09-$65,651.49 per year
