The team designs, procures, and builds complete equipment solutions, including service trucks with cranes, dump bodies, flat decks, and other mounted tools tailored to each customer’s needs. Work Truck West emphasizes quality, reliability, and long-term customer relationships.

Role Description This is a full-time, in office Junior Purchaser role based in Langley, BC.

The Junior

Purchaser supports procurement activities for work truck bodies, mounted equipment, and related components, ensuring parts and materials are ordered accurately and on time. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing purchase requisitions, obtaining pricing and availability, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries to meet production schedules. The role collaborates closely with scheduling, design, warehouse and production teams to maintain appropriate stock levels and resolve order discrepancies.

The Junior

Buyer also assists with supplier communication, data entry into purchasing systems,



and basic analysis of costs and lead times.

Qualifications

- High level of reliability, time management, and ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office or similar tools, especially Excel for tracking orders, costs, and inventory levels.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities, such as attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and record-keeping in ERP or inventory systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to compare pricing, monitor lead times, and address order or delivery issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams (production, inventory, sales) and external suppliers.
- Ability to learn technical product details related to truck bodies, mounted equipment, and related components.
- Prior experience in purchasing, inventory, or logistics in a manufacturing or equipment environment is an advantage but not required for strong entry-level candidates.
