Justice Outreach and Support Worker

Wage: $50,000 - $60,000 Annual Salary, dependent upon education and experience

Hours: Full-Time (35 hours per week), with a rotation of one week in the community and one week Prince George (Flexibility required to accommodate member needs, and may include evenings and weekends)

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Justice Services, the Justice Outreach and Support Worker provides trauma-informed, culturally respectful support to individuals and families experiencing challenges related to violence, trauma, crisis, family conflict, or involvement with the justice system. The role promotes healing, connection, and personal growth through community-based and land-based approaches rooted in Kwadacha values and traditions.

- Participate in and support land-based, cultural, and community activities that promote connection, healing, and healthy living.
- Assist clients with Criminal and Family Court processes, including relevant legislation and procedures.
- Build respectful relationships with individuals, families, Elders, and community members.
- Provide culturally safe,



trauma-informed support and guidance.
- Conduct intake, assess needs, and maintain accurate confidential records.
- Facilitate referrals and coordinate services with community and external agencies.
- Educate clients about their rights, legal processes, and violence prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to support program development and evaluation.
- Maintain knowledge of local and regional resources available to community members.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

- Diploma in a related human/social services field, with demonstrated understanding of the Criminal and Family Court systems and applicable legislation
- Minimum two (2) years of recent, relevant experience supporting victims of domestic violence in a Victim Services or Family Support role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Willingness to participate in outdoor and land-based activities in varying conditions
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search, and reference checks
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License, clear Driver’s Abstract, and willingness to travel within Kwadacha
