The Opportunity A global manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to manage and grow its Canadian food packaging business.

The company specializes in premium thin-wall injection molded containers and closures used by major food manufacturers and consumer packaged goods companies.

This is primarily a strategic account management and growth role, not a pure hunter position. You'll inherit established customer relationships and be responsible for protecting that business, expanding existing accounts, identifying new applications, and developing select new opportunities throughout Canada.

What You'll Do

▪️ Manage and grow strategic food and CPG accounts throughout Canada.

▪️ Build relationships across procurement, packaging, operations, supply chain, product development, and senior leadership.

▪️ Identify opportunities for new products, applications, and additional business within existing customers.

▪️ Develop selected new regional food packaging customers.

▪️ Lead pricing discussions, contract negotiations, business reviews, and account planning.

▪️ Coordinate new packaging projects from initial opportunity through commercialization.

▪️ Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.

▪️ Manage forecasts, customer expectations, and account profitability.

▪️ Travel approximately 50% throughout Canada.





What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has experience selling plastic packaging into food manufacturers or consumer packaged goods companies.

Relevant packaging backgrounds can include:

▪️ Thin-wall injection molded packaging

▪️ Rigid plastic packaging

▪️ Thermoformed packaging

▪️ Blow molded packaging

▪️ Flexible food packaging

▪️ Food containers, tubs, lids, closures, or related packaging

Experience managing significant accounts with major food manufacturers is particularly valuable.

Candidates should have a demonstrated history of growing existing accounts, developing strong customer relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and identifying recent business opportunities.

Compensation

▪️ up to a CA$128,000 base salary

▪️ 25% target bonus

▪️ Car allowance
