We are seeking an experienced, professional, and highly organized Key Chef to join our growing Craft Services team. This role is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality hot food service for television, film, commercial, and live production crews while ensuring a clean, efficient, and well-organized kitchen operation.

The Key

Chef is also responsible for safely transporting the Craft Services truck and equipment to and from production locations and maintaining a professional presence on set.

The ideal candidate is a skilled cook who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional food, and can adapt quickly to the changing demands of film and television production.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely drive and operate the Craft Services truck to and from production locations in accordance with company policies and all applicable traffic regulations.
- Prepare, cook, and present fresh, high-quality hot meals and menu items for cast, crew, production staff, agency representatives, and clients.
- Plan and execute daily food preparation to meet production schedules and service timelines.
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and compliant with all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, minimize waste, and communicate ordering needs to the Craft Key.
- Properly receive, store, label, and handle food products in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist with menu planning while accommodating dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests.
- Maintain all kitchen equipment and report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Work collaboratively with the Craft Key and Craft Assistants to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the production day.
- Assist with truck setup, breakdown, and daily operational readiness.




- Maintain a professional, courteous, and discreet demeanor while working around high-profile clients and production personnel.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and production site requirements.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a chef, cook, or lead culinary professional in catering, hospitality, mobile food service, or Craft Services.
- Experience working in television, film, commercial, or live event production is a strong asset.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record and the ability to safely operate a commercial-style food truck.
- Food Handler Certification (required).
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high culinary standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and long production days.
