We are seeking a versatile Middleware Administrator for a 12‑month contract in Toronto. This is a ‘hands‑on’ technical role focused on the installation, configuration, and proactive management of enterprise middleware technologies. As a middleware generalist, you will support both critical project work and ongoing business operations, ensuring that the integration layer remains secure, high‑performing, and compliant with architectural standards.Duration: 12‑month contractLocation: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)Start Date: ASAPRate: $57.09‑$63.81/hrResponsibilities- Lead the installation, configuration, and tuning of middleware technologies. Deploy and configure complex interfaces to ensure seamless data flow across systems.- Diagnose and resolve production issues through expert‑level troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.- Manage small‑to‑medium middleware upgrade projects, ensuring smooth transitions during asset refresh initiatives.- Apply the latest security patches, perform comprehensive health checks, and manage SSL certificates to maintain a hardened environment.- Proactively monitor system performance and implement tuning measures to optimize throughput and reliability.- Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation, including operational support guides and “Buildbooks.”Qualifications- Technical Requirements (Mandatory) - Minimum 5 years of experience administering IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM MQ.- Proficiency in WebLogic 12c (and above).- Hands‑on experience with Apache, Tomcat, and Reverse Proxy configurations.- Working knowledge of SSL/TLS certificate management and security protocols.- Highly Desirable Skills - Experience with Oracle Utilities Applications (CCB, NMS, OUA, and OMA).- Administration of WebSphere Application Server.- Experience with enterprise job schedulers such as Appworx.- Familiarity with SAP BO reporting, Data Services, or other ETL technologies.- Skilled Skills - Analytical Thinking:
