Life Skills Therapy is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Kinesiologist / Rehabilitation Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team in Cloverdale, Surrey.

This is a unique hybrid rehabilitation position, with the opportunity to work both in a senior care community and at our rehab clinic.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including older adults requiring mobility and functional rehabilitation, as well as individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, orthopedic and neurological conditions, and concussion.

You will work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Kinesiologists, with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesSenior Care

- Implement exercise, mobility, strengthening, balance, and functional programs.
- Support mobility, fall prevention, independence, and quality of life.
- Monitor client progress and communicate with the clinical team.
- Provide appropriate exercise and mobility education.

Rehabilitation Clinic
- Implement individualized exercise and active rehabilitation programs under the direction of PTs and/or OTs.
- Supervise therapeutic exercise and functional rehabilitation.
- Assist with concussion/post-concussion rehabilitation.
- Work with clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, orthopedic and neurological conditions.
- Educate clients on exercises and home programs.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate client progress.

QualificationsKinesiologist
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, or related field.
- Registered or eligible for BCAK membership.
- Professional liability insurance.




- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Strong exercise prescription and rehabilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Rehabilitation Assistant
- Diploma/certificate in Rehabilitation Assistant, Physiotherapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or related program.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Previous healthcare, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or senior care experience is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under clinical direction.

Experience With the Following Is an Asset
- Concussion / post-concussion rehabilitation
- Geriatric or senior care
- Neurological rehabilitation
- Orthopedic rehabilitation
- ICBC or WorkSafeBC clients
- Active rehabilitation and exercise therapy
- Balance and fall prevention
