Peaceful Restaurant has been operating for nearly 20 years in Vancouver, and recently opened a this new location in Burnaby. We are looking for a kitchen assistant/cashier who is interested in a position that is a balance between food service and customer service. If you are unfamiliar with Northern Chinese cuisine, we are happy to teach.

Responsibilities

- Assist with food preparation by washing, chopping and organizing the ingredients and food supplies to support the cooks.
- Help with simple cooking tasks - pan-frying, steaming and making rolls.
- Help take customers food orders (by phone or in-person), and organize online orders.
- Help with payment of bills - cash or credit card.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces,



and taking out garbage.

Skills and Experience

- Enthusiasm and interest for learning is valued highly
- Ability to multi-task, work quickly and be organized is required
- Ability to speak intermediate level of English is required
- Friendly customer-service is required
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required
- Food Secure Training is preferred but not required
