We are seeking an experienced KBE Engineer (Knowledge Based Engineering) to support the development of exterior plastic vehicle components through advanced CAD modeling, parametric design, and knowledge-based engineering methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CATIA and/or NX, strong expertise in parametric and template-based modeling, and a solid understanding of vehicle system development, architecture, packaging, and requirements. This role will be responsible for developing robust KBE models and establishing modeling standards and architectures that can be leveraged across vehicle programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and develop parametric CAD math models for exterior plastic commodities using Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) and template modeling techniques.
- Develop and maintain CATIA and/or NX models, ensuring models are robust, reusable, and compliant with established engineering standards.
- Support the design and development of exterior plastic vehicle components from concept through production.
- Develop and define master development, packaging, and requirements sections for assigned commodities.




- Define master template modeling structures, including modeling methodologies, relationships, parameters, and design intent.
- Establish and dictate appropriate architecture and construction techniques for complex vehicle systems and components.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience designing or developing automotive exterior plastic components/commodities.
- Extensive hands-on experience with CATIA and/or Siemens NX.
- Strong experience developing parametric CAD models and knowledge-based/template-based modeling structures.
- Experience with Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) methodologies and design automation.
- Solid understanding of vehicle systems, component architecture, packaging, and engineering requirements.

Pay: $40.00-$43.50 per hour
