Lab Technologist

Location: Foster Creek, Alberta (FIFO from Calgary or Edmonton)

Type: 1-year contract

Pay Rate Range: $29/h - $42/h

Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off | Day Shift Only

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lab Technologist to join a site operations team at Foster Creek.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on process and production samples
- Analyze and interpret laboratory data to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports
- Assist with validation and implementation of laboratory methods and procedures
- Work collaboratively with operational and technical teams
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives supporting laboratory excellence

Qualifications

- Diploma in Chemical Laboratory Technology or
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
- Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience in an industrial, energy, petrochemical, mining, or related setting
- Strong understanding of laboratory testing procedures and equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills




- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence

Schedule & Travel

- 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
- Day shifts only
- 11.43-hour shifts
- Fly-in/Fly-out from Calgary or Edmonton

Additional Requirements

- Safety-sensitive position
- Drug and alcohol testing required
- Driver's abstract required
- Audiometric testing required
- H2S Alive certification required
