Canadian Sewage Solutions Inc. (CSSI) is a leader in building an onsite sewage system. We design, install, repair, maintain, and inspect sewage systems around Victoria and across Vancouver Island.

We are looking to hire a full-time Laborer / Installer assistant to join our team. As a laborer / installer assistant, you will construct onsite sewage systems under the supervision of one of our engineers or installers. You will be mentored to inspect, maintain, and solve problems related to septic systems.

This position is based in Victoria, but occasionally, you may be required you to travel to locations throughout Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Every day is a different test of your abilities and requires you to learn constantly. We are prepared to train a special person who has the right attitude.

Job Requirements:

- Understanding of safety, shop work practices, and use of hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude with common sense.
- Positive attitude with a general desire to help customers.
- Able to learn and adapt quickly.
- Able to communicate respectfully and concisely.
- Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to get to work (no bus service is near us)
- Must be able to work under varying weather conditions




- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Driver’s License Class 5 with clean abstract.
- experience with perimeter drains, sewage systems, or irrigation systems installation is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of septic systems is an asset.
- Class 3 license or Heavy Endorsement 20 is an asset.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday (7:30 am to 4:00pm)
- 8 hour shift
- Occasional overtime

Experience:

- Construction 1 year (preferred)
