Role Summary: The Water Damage Labourer plays a key supporting role in the delivery of emergency restoration services by assisting Water Damage Technicians with on-site mitigation and demolition. This position focuses on providing hands-on labour, preparing job sites, and supporting efficient project execution while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
· Assist Water Damage Technicians with emergency response and restoration activities at residential and commercial job sites.
· Perform demolition tasks as directed, including removal of damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation.
· Set up, monitor, and take down drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, etc.)
· Prepare and maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites in accordance with WorkSafeBC regulations.
· Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
· Support moisture monitoring and drying processes as directed by the Technician.
· Follow direction to ensure efficient use of time, equipment, and manpower.
· Assist with basic documentation, including photos and job notes when required.
· Communicate professionally with team members and customers on-site.
· Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and the on-call rotation as required.
· Contribute positively to team performance and overall job success.
· Safely operate company vehicles when required, following all traffic laws and company policies.
Key Qualifications:
· Previous labour or construction experience preferred (restoration experience is an asset).
· Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, carrying, demolition, extended standing).
· Strong work ethic with willingness to learn and take direction.
· Basic understanding of safety practices and procedures; knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations is an asset.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work in rapid-paced, emergency response environments.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
· Fluent in English, verbally and in writing.
· Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Steel toed boots and basic hand tools required

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
