The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Lead Hand to take ownership of projects in the field and help build a high-performance construction team.

This is not a helper role. We want someone who can lead installs, set the pace on site, and take pride in building exceptional outdoor spaces.

You’ll work directly with management to execute projects efficiently, safely, and to a high standard — while mentoring crew members and helping develop future leaders.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

- Leading crews (2–4 people) on residential and commercial landscape construction projects
- Reading and interpreting drawings and site plans
- Coordinating daily tasks and sequencing work efficiently
- Ensuring quality control and maintaining clean, organized job sites
- Operating equipment (mini-excavator, skid steer, compact loaders, plate tamper, etc.)
- Installing and overseeing:
- Interlock / pavers
- Retaining walls
- Natural stone and flagstone
- Steps and landings
- Armour stone
- Concrete formwork
- Drainage systems
- Communicating clearly with project managers and clients when required
- Training and mentoring junior crew members

What We’re Looking For:





- 5+ years experience in landscape construction or hardscape installation
- Strong hands-on experience with stone, interlock, and retaining wall systems
- Proven ability to run a crew and manage workflow
- Robust knowledge of grading, base prep, compaction, and proper install methods
- Experience operating construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Carpentry experience considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license (DZ/AZ an asset but not required)
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Someone who takes ownership — not someone who needs to be micromanaged
