Planit Green Landscapes is a growing landscape construction company specializing in high-end residential outdoor spaces. We are looking for an experienced and dependable Landscape Lead Hand to join our team in Brantford, ON.

The Lead Hand will work closely with the Foreman to help lead the crew, keep the job site organized, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Foreman with leading and directing the crew
- Help organize daily tasks, materials, and equipment
- Assist with reading and following landscape plans
- Help oversee excavation, grading, drainage, and site preparation
- Assist with patios, walkways, retaining walls, gardens, planting, sod, and other landscape features
- Operate mini excavators, skid steers, and other equipment when required
- Help train and support less-experienced crew members
- Monitor the quality of work and help keep projects on schedule
- Communicate with the Foreman about job-site issues and material needs
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Step in to lead the crew when the Foreman is unavailable
- Follow and promote company safety procedures

Requirements

- 2+ years of landscape construction experience




- Previous leadership or crew-lead experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction
- Experience with excavation, grading, drainage, and hardscaping
- Comfortable operating landscape construction equipment
- Able to follow and understand landscape plans
- Solid communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, organized, and willing to take initiative
- Physically capable of demanding outdoor work
- Valid driver's licence is an asset
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
