Renov8 is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter / Renovation Lead to join our growing residential renovation team.

We are looking for a well-rounded renovation skilled who can work hands-on, independently lead projects on site, organize a small crew, and solve day-to-day construction challenges.

Responsibilities

- Lead residential renovation and exterior improvement projects
- Organize daily work and provide direction to crew members
- Framing and general carpentry
- Basement finishing and renovations
- Deck construction, repairs and rebuilds
- Exterior stairs, landings, railings and guardrails
- Siding installation and replacement
- Soffit and fascia installation and repairs
- Exterior trim and finishing
- Window and exterior door installation
- Fences and other exterior carpentry
- Kitchen and bathroom renovations
- Flooring installation
- Drywall installation and repairs
- Interior doors, trim, baseboards and finish carpentry
- Cabinet installation
- Read plans, drawings and specifications
- Take measurements and prepare material lists
- Plan the proper sequence of work
- Coordinate with electricians, plumbers and other trades when required




- Identify and solve construction issues on site
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Keep the Project Manager updated on progress, materials and issues
- Maintain an organized and safe job site

Carpentry Framing Decks Siding Soffit & Fascia Windows & Doors Basement Renovations Kitchens Bathrooms Flooring Drywall Finish Carpentry

Requirements

- Strong residential renovation/construction experience
- Ability to independently lead projects
- Strong carpentry and framing knowledge
- Deck and exterior renovation experience
- Siding experience preferred
- Ability to read drawings and work from plans
- Ability to accurately measure and determine material requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable leading and working alongside a small crew
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Own basic hand tools preferred
- Reliable and professional

Pay: $29.00-$35.00 per hour Work Location: On the road
