Wage: $24.12 per hour with perks as per the Employment Standards Act

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Project & Asset Manager, or designate, will ensure that the designated buildings of the municipality are clean and safe by performing routine tasks in maintaining cleanliness, sanitary conditions and appearance including seasonal snow removal and other duties as assigned. Scheduled shifts and relief as required. Shifts may occur weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.

Position Requirements

- Grade 12 Diploma
- One (1) year previous experience in related field
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds (cleaning supplies, equipment, snow removal)
- Highly developed communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to operate and use Microsoft applications
- Demonstrated courteous and polite manner when dealing with employee groups and general public
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision
- Current First Aid CPR certificate (or ability to obtain within three months)
- Must have and maintain valid G driver’s license
- Criminal background check and driver’s abstract required prior to start date at candidates’ expense
