Landscape Construction Lead Hand (3 years experience)

Job Requirements:

We are looking for someone who has/is

· Positive attitude

· Curiosity for learning

· An eye for detail

· Ability to problem solve

· Physically fit., able to lift up to 50 lbs free hand

· Able to comfortable shovel gravel, lay sod and pavers with no restrictions on lifting and bending.

· Valid G drivers license with a clean driver’s abstract and comfortable handling a trailer.

· Reliable transportation to and from work.

· Proficient with a skid steer and mini excavator.

· High School Diploma.

· Minimum three years of experience in the field.

· Ability to take instruction as well as instruct others.

· Organized goal setter who can prioritize and achieves goals.

We are looking for someone who can

· Follow safety guidelines and keep organized and tidy jobsites and work environments

· Read blueprints and grades

· Safely operate and instruct on the safe operation of hand,



power tools and equipment used

· Experience using skid steer and mini-excavator

· Build patios/walkways/driveways, gardens and decks, retaining walls and woodwork

· Lead a team of 1-2 people

· Communicate effectively with all team members

· Make and use lists

· Complete tasks in timely manner to industry standards.

· Comply with all company policies and regulations

· Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

· Communicate with clients and colleagues in a polite and courteous manner

Working Conditions:

· safety shoes required

· Branded shirts and other PPE provided

· Arrive at Grassie shop every morning at 6:55am.

· 7:00 am-5:30 pm

· Monday to Friday

· Some Saturday mornings when required.

· Sometimes work until 6:00 pm when required.
