Senior React Developer (UI Lead Track) – Capital Markets

Location: Toronto, 2 days on site

Duration: 6 months (contract-to-hire)

Compensation: T4: $82-$92 | IC: $100-$106- PER HOUR- 37.5hrs

Are you a high-performance developer ready to bridge the gap between complex architectural strategy and high-stakes execution?

We are looking for a Lead Developer to join the our client's team. This is not just a coding role—it is a transparent path to leadership. You will join an existing, high-performing team with a deliberate roadmap for you to evolve from a lead developer into the official UI Lead . In this role, you will define architecture, set best practices, and mentor team members, all while working in the high-energy, collaborative environment of a live trading desk.

The Opportunity

You will work at the intersection of finance and technology, building next-generation electronic trading platforms. You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into high-performance, scalable, and intuitive user interfaces that deliver real-time market data and algorithmic trading controls to institutional clients.

Your Responsibilities

- Architect & Build: Develop and maintain front-end applications using React, Redux (or similar state management), and up-to-date ES6+ JavaScript.
- Collaborate: Partner with product owners and UX/UI designers to transform business needs into elegant, functional interfaces.
- Integrate:



Work closely with backend services to visualize real-time market data, order flow, and complex analytics.
- Lead & Mentor: As you grow in the role, you will move into a leadership capacity, mentoring team members and driving technical strategy for the platform.
- Quality First: Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code in a high-performance production environment.

Qualifications

- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in React.js, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- State Management: Deep experience with Redux, MobX, Zustand, or similar tools.
- API Proficiency: Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.
- Experience: 3–5+ years in front-end or full-stack development working on the following:
- Fixed Income trading workflows
- Bond trading
- Desktop trading applications
- Electronic trading platforms
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Mindset: A team-first, mentorship-oriented attitude with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
