Monkhouse Law is seeking 4 motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistants to provide legal research, drafting, editing, and administrative support. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a law student to gain practical experience in legal research and writing while working in a flexible, primarily remote environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct legal research, including statutory, regulatory, and case law research, as assigned.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents and correspondence.
- Prepare research summaries, memoranda, and other written materials.
- Draft promotional, educational, and informational materials as required.
- Manage assigned projects independently and communicate any scheduling or workload concerns.
- Maintain accurate daily docket entries and submit hours as required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Solid legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.




- Strong communication skills and professionalism.
- Enrollment in a law school or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

WORK ARRANGEMENT

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 5–10 hours per week. The role is primarily remote, with occasional virtual or in-person meetings. Most assignments and communications will be provided by email. Employees may maintain other employment provided they can dedicate sufficient time to the position.

Employees are responsible for tracking their time using a daily docket system and submitting hours through the firm's timekeeping spreadsheet. Compensation is paid on a bi-weekly basis based on approved hours worked.
