Lift Supervisor The Lift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of ski lifts and supervising lift operations staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and guest-focused experience. This role monitors lift performance, enforces safety standards, coordinates staffing, and responds to operational issues and emergencies. They work closely with the Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the daily operation of ski lifts and loading/unloading areas.
Ensure lifts are operated in accordance with company policies, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor weather, snow, and mountain conditions that may affect lift operations.
Coordinate lift openings, closures, and operational adjustments.
Staff Supervision
Lead, train, coach, and evaluate lift operators.
Assign work schedules, breaks, and daily responsibilities.
Conduct staff meetings and safety briefings.
Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment.
Safety & Compliance
Perform routine inspections of lift stations and operating areas.
Ensure all safety procedures are followed by staff and guests.
Document incidents, accidents, and operational concerns.
Assist with emergency response procedures, including lift evacuations when necessary.
Guest Service
Provide excellent customer service to guests.
Address guest questions, concerns, and complaints professionally.
Assist guests with secure lift loading and unloading practices.
Work collaboratively with ski patrol and guest services teams.
Communication & Coordination
Maintain communication with maintenance personnel regarding lift issues.
Coordinate with ski patrol, snowmaking, grooming, and mountain operations departments.
Complete daily operational reports and incident documentation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or Ski Hill Management diploma.
Previous ski lift operations or mountain operations experience preferred.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge of ski area safety practices and lift operations.
Lift 150, 151 and 152 and asset.
First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
Ability to work outdoors in winter conditions for extended periods.

Sound judgment and decision-making under pressure.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Maintenance Skills an asset and the ability climb towers from time to time.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Working Conditions
Outdoor work in cold, snowy, and variable weather conditions.
Standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs regularly.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings during the ski season.
Pay $22 to $24/hour

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
