Location: Dieppe, NB (UNIplex & Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Arena & Canteens)
Job Type: Part-Time / Possible Full-Time
Salary: $17.00 per hour to start
Job Summary In this role, your main priority will be to prepare sports arena foods, operate kitchen equipment, and keep the kitchen clean and sanitized.
Hours & Schedule
- Weekdays: Generally evening shifts through the week, starting late afternoon.
- Weekends: Morning, day or evening shifts.
- Special Events: Extended hours are required during tournaments, hockey games, and special events.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Cook deep-fried items including french fries, wings, chicken strips spring rolls.
- Menu Assembly: Prepare fresh breakfast sandwiches and burgers using the grill. Assembling lunch sandwiches, wraps, poutine.
- Beverage Making: Prepare fruit smoothies.
- Inventory Control: Use the FIFO (First In, First Out) method for all food stock.
- Waste Management: Monitor food portions and freshness closely to minimize kitchen waste.
- Station Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and reset kitchen workstations during and after shifts.
Job Requirements & Preferences
- Location Flexibility: Willingness to work at either the UNIplex canteen or the AJL arena canteen is preferred but not required.
- Language Skills: Ability to communicate in French is preferred but not required.
- Age Requirement: Reaching the minimum legal age to serve alcohol (19+ in Recent Brunswick) is preferred but not required.
- Transportation: Having your own reliable transportation is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Line Cook Experience, ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
