Wizard's Wanted!

We are hiring. Become a perogie wizard. House of TARG is looking to hire a daytime prep/night cook. Previous kitchen / line cook experience is preferred. Job will consist of handling food prep, and managing high-volume service during open hours and event nights.

Shifts will be mostly weekends with some day prep. Successful candidate should be able communicate efficiently, be a team player and be comfortable in a loud bar/arcade environment. Must have availability for late-nights and weekend shifts.

Duties

- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Cook a variety of menu items with precision, speed, and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to ensure food safety and efficiency
- Follow food handling protocols to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Assist in food prep tasks such as chopping, perogie forming, and portioning ingredients
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by ensuring timely meal preparation




- Adhere to all safety regulations and sanitation procedures to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in meal preparation
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Basic understanding of serving protocols and customer service principles is a plus
