Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Liquor Store Clerk and become the friendly face that enhances the shopping experience for our valued customers. We are looking for Evening and Weekends, working until midnight.

In this energetic role, you will manage daily store operations, assist customers with their selections, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help create a welcoming environment where customers feel appreciated and well-served. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail sales expertise while working in a lively, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance with product selections, including spirits, wines, and beers
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle cash transactions accurately, and process payments efficiently
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stock replenishment
- Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase new or featured items to customers
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with legal age restrictions for alcohol sales by verifying identification
- Keep the store clean, organized,



and well-stocked to promote a positive shopping environment
- Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products and store hours

Skills

- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience, especially in alcohol or beverage sales, is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory management
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change accurately
- Proficiency with POS systems and familiarity with retail technology tools
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle challenging situations politely and effectively
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and engage customers through upselling techniques

Experience

- Cashier: 1 year (preferred)
