We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Litigation Lawyer to join our growing legal team. In this role, you will manage complex legal disputes, provide strategic advice on litigation matters, and advocate effectively on behalf of our clients.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all phases of litigation cases from inception through resolution, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate stages.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools like CanLII and Westlaw to gather relevant case law, statutes, and legal precedents.
- Draft clear, precise, and persuasive legal documents, including pleadings, motion materials, facta, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
- Develop effective negotiation strategies to resolve disputes amicably while safeguarding the organization’s interests.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel to formulate case strategies and ensure consistent legal messaging.
- Maintain meticulous records of case files, court documents, deadlines, and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures.
- Stay current on developments in legislation, case law, court procedures, and emerging legal technologies relevant to the firm’s practice.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.), LL.B., or equivalent law degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practise law in Ontario.




- Minimum three years of litigation experience including trials
- Proven litigation experience, preferably involving civil litigation and/or employment law disputes.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written advocacy and exceptional legal drafting skills.
- Strong oral advocacy, negotiation, and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with generative AI tools and demonstrated experience developing effective prompts to produce helpful, accurate, and well-structured outputs for legal and professional workflows.
- Comfortable working in a technology-forward legal environment where AI and other digital tools are integrated into daily workflows.
- Ability to critically evaluate, verify, and refine AI-generated work rather than relying on generated outputs without independent legal analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files, competing priorities, and court deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- High degree of professionalism, attention to detail, accountability, and sound judgment.

Pay: $75,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
