We are supporting a full-service leading Western Canadian full-service law firm in their search for a Litigation Associate Lawyer to join their team in Bonnyville, Alberta.

- Following its recent expansion into the Lakeland region, this law firm stands as one of the largest regional practices in Alberta, boasting 18 offices, approximately 200 total staff, and a multi-province network of over 50 lawyers.

About The Role: Associate Lawyer - General Litigator

- The Bonnyville practice is looking to add a dedicated General Litigator to the team.
- Reason for hiring? As a growing office with an active client base, the firm has been turning away a litigation work meaning the incoming lawyer will step into an immediate, flow of active files.
- Practice Focus: Comfortable managing general civil and commercial litigation matters independently, with the support of a highly experienced local clerk and assistant team.
- Years of Experience: 0-5 years of litigation experience.
- Book of Business: A personal book of business is always welcome but certainly not required.



The local market has an abundance of existing files, and additional litigation work can be drawn from other regional offices if the incoming lawyer is looking for additional files to work on as the Bonnyville location ramps up the litigation practice.
- Billable Target: 1,320 annual billable hours target (structured to support reasonable pacing and work-life balance).

Compensation & Benefits:

- Salary: Circa $100,000 - $150,000 base salary, entirely negotiable depending on the year of call and depth of experience.
- Quarterly Lucrative Bonus: 40% of any billings exceeding 3x quarterly salary every single quarter.
