Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Long Haul Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances, ensuring timely delivery of freight across regional and national routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance will be essential to maintaining our high standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate large commercial trucks to transport freight over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Maintain accurate documentation for each trip, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries.




- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling for loading and unloading freight.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail in vehicle inspections, documentation, and safety procedures.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and manual tasks related to freight handling.
