1.0 LTO – Sept 2, 2026 – Jan 7, 2027 – Elementary Treatment Class – South Oshawa Required: Primary/Junior Qualifications – Special Education Part 1, Strength in English/Numeracy Background Preferred Positions with Grove School provide academic programming to students working with community agencies in Care and/or Treatment, and Rehabilitation based settings. Students in these settings have a variety of needs that are supported through Trauma Informed Practices and require a multi-disciplinary approach to programming. Student needs are supported through diverse programming in collaboration with an agency partner team, including a classroom based CYW (child and youth worker).
Programs utilize Chromebooks and a variety of technology resources daily. The focus of programming is Literacy and Numeracy with an emphasis on gap closing.
Individual students may require support for integration, social and learning skills.
Students in this setting may have high needs and/or a formal identification.
Special Education Part
One is required, additional qualifications or knowledge of Structured Teaching, Mental Health first aid, Trauma Informed practices and UDL would be an asset.
Grove
School is made up of classrooms that are located in both transitional (within community schools) and offsite settings across the Durham Region. This classroom is located within a DDSB public school in south Oshawa. Grade(s)/assignment: 1.0 Treatment Class – Kindergarten – Grade 6
