Grade 9 Locally Developed Mathematics –

Effective September 2, 2026 and not to extend beyond February 5, 2027

Requirements

- Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division –
- Mathematics and Religion.
- Honours degree and/or subject qualification in Mathematics and Religion would be considered an asset.
- Teaching experience and sound knowledge of the programs in these divisions and subject areas.
- Ability to implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic education and integrating the Catholic Graduate Expectations within the curriculum.
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google

Classroom and D2L Brightspace, as well as additional G-Suite digital tools, EDSBY and CVO courses on the VLE to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents.
- Knowledge of the Ministry of Education's Taking Action in Mathematics framework and the High Impact Instructional Practices in mathematics to support student learning and achievement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of how students learn effectively with a repertoire of proven instructional and assessment practices.
- Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner.
- Commitment to ongoing skilled learning and collaboration around the school's Student Achievement Plan through school-based PLC's, department meetings, co-planning and co-teaching.
- Knowledge,



experience and proven ability in utilizing differentiated instructional approaches within the classroom that support well-being, equity and inclusion.
- Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Flexibility to be assigned to other subject areas as the need arises.
- Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties.
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school community.
