Cochrane Dodge is currently looking for an All-Star Lube Bay Technician to join our team.

As lube technician, you will be responsible for the daily overall operation of the lube bay — working efficiently in our back shop to ensure vehicles are serviced promptly, correctly, and with extreme care. Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Safely pull the guest's vehicle into the bay and position it on the hoist.
- Ensure proper care is taken to help eliminate damage to guest's vehicle (fender cover placement)
- Check initial oil level.
- Determine and physically verify correct oil filter application.
- Check and adjust all tire levels on vehicles to proper inflation.
- Check and fill necessary fluids.
- Add oil, start vehicle, check oil pressure gauge, check oil dipstick.
- Complete additional ancillary services as requested on the RO.
- Raise the vehicle on the hoist and perform a full under-vehicle inspection to ensure zero defects.
- Remove oil drain plug, loosen and remove oil filter, wipe mounting plate and check filter spindle.
- Inspect oil drain plug and gasket (replace if necessary)
- Observe undercarriage of vehicle once started to ensure no leaks.
- Wiper fittings and lubricate (if applicable)




- Check and fill gearboxes (if applicable)
- Replacement of vital car fluids (e.g. coolant, transmission, and transfer case fluid)
- Replacement of parts under the hood (e.g. air filters, headlights, taillights and wiper blade replacements)
- Performing courtesy checks on all vehicles (e.g. topping up fluid levels, cleaning windows and checking tire pressure)
- Sweeping and washing of bay floors, keeping tools clean and organized.
- Stocking shelves and filter racks, putting away inventory.
- Keep work area tidy and clean. Organize tools.
- Other housekeeping duties as assigned.
