We are seeking an experiences IUOE Local 793 retired Heavy Equipment Operator with proven experience operating Bulldozers and Excavators to work in our yard.
The successful candidate will spend the workday operating equipment to move a materials throughout the yard. Responsibilities will include safely and efficiently loading trucks with material and maintaining an organized and productive yard environment.
This is a primariliy a machine-operating position with minimal customer interaction. As expected to be comfortable spending most of the workday in the machine. Excluding lunch break.
Duties
- Operate a variety of manufacturing machinery with precision, adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Safely operate bulldozers and excavators
- Load trucks with designated materials
- Move and organize materials throughout the yard
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns
- Follow all site and equipment safety procedures
- Maintain an effective and organized work area
- Provide minimal assistance to customers or drivers when required
- Assemble components or parts as directed, maintaining quality standards throughout the process
Experience
- Retired member of IUOE Local 793
- Previous professional experience operating bulldozers and excavators
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment and job-site safety
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a yard setting
