Maintenance Coordinator

Edith Cavell Care Centre, a professionally operated care facility, is currently accepting applications for a skilled Maintenance Coordinator. If you’re passionate about keeping facilities in top shape, this role might be perfect for you! This role oversees a part-time maintenance assistant and coordinates jobs with facility vendors which include snow removal, landscapers, painters, plumbers, and electricians.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs, including working with vendors for troubleshooting heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Handle minor plumbing and minor electrical work (changing fixtures for example).
- Conduct minor painting, repair drywall, and maintain the building to a high visual standard

Requirements:

- Collaborate effectively with management, staff, and others in the maintenance team.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects up to 50lbs and working in out and indoors.
- Possess basic building maintenance knowledge relating to heating, cooling, hot water systems.




- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Full-time work Monday to Friday. Very limited overtime required.

Additional Skills:

- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient with computer use and Windows Office and MS Outlook.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities to help problems solve.
- Any expertise in setting up a PC, modem, WIFI, would be an asset.
