Generate Upcycle team is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Drumbo, ON. The position will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and work closely with the Operations Team. You will be a critical member of our team, and your work will be imperative to our day-to-day operations and the overall successful growth of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Respond in a timely manner to machine breakdown to maximize equipment uptime
- Maintain organized and tidy work areas, including clean-up after machine repairs
- Respond in a timely manner to emergency "call in" for facility and equipment repair
- Perform mechanical repairs to equipment and Facility
- Assist in maintaining plant electrical cabinets, motors, brushes, disconnects, lighting as required
- Complete prescribed corrective and preventative maintenance as assigned
- Assist with maintenance of parts inventory by monitoring stock levels and making re-order requests
- Assist in maintaining a safe plant environment through prompt response to safety work requests/observations
- Assist with engineering and continuous improvement development of electrical standards
- Participate in regular discussions with Plant Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to plan out daily and weekly tasks, and identify major work that has been done that will impact shift operation
- Assist with maintaining electrical supplies
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Certifications:
- Three (3) years' experience working with machinery in an industrial environment.
- Licenced Millwright (Province of Ontario) preferred
- Licenced Industrial Electrician (Province of Ontario) preferred

- Position requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, hearing protection, safety-toed boots, utility gloves, hard hat, reflective vest, and safety glasses.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary to utilize tools and other equipment necessary to perform job duties
- Auditory and visual acuity to monitor surroundings, equipment sounds, and safety signals (with or without corrective devices).
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, and kneeling required in outdoor and uneven terrain environments.
- Tolerance to work in environments with strong odors, dust, humidity, and varying weather conditions (hot, cold,



wet), and handle oils, fuels and other necessary liquids/chemicals.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 pounds regularly, and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.

Work Environment
- Normal work setting is indoors, in plant/warehouse setting, with exposure to all smells/odors, dirt, high levels of noise, and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.
