Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues before they cause downtime
- Perform repairs using a variety of hand tools and power tools, ensuring all work meets safety standards
- Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment or machinery upgrades
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used for accountability and future reference
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems quickly and effectively to minimize operational disruptions
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and coordinate scheduled downtime
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment at all times
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and other manual tools
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively for various repair tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills with an active approach to diagnosing issues promptly
- Excellent communication skills to document work performed clearly and accurately
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor as needed
- Prior experience in a maintenance or technical role is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
