Manager, Enterprise Applications

Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Manager, Enterprise Applications to lead the strategy, support, and evolution of a complex enterprise application ecosystem. This leadership role is responsible for aligning technology platforms with business objectives, driving innovation, managing strategic vendor relationships, and leading a high-performing team.

The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure critical enterprise platforms remain reliable, secure, scalable, and positioned to support future growth.

This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise technology strategy, champion modernization initiatives, and identify new ways to leverage automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to create business value.

Key platforms include ERP, human capital management, financial planning, field service, and related enterprise business systems, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Technology Strategy

- Define and execute a multi-year enterprise applications roadmap aligned with organizational objectives.
- Maintain strategic relationships with key technology partners, including software vendors and platform providers.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, automation opportunities, and industry trends to enhance business performance.
- Recommend and implement innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop trusted relationships with leaders across business functions.
- Translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
- Lead enterprise initiatives from concept through implementation.




- Foster alignment between business priorities and technology investments.
- Promote a customer-focused approach to service delivery and solution development.

Enterprise Applications Leadership
- Oversee the performance, stability, security, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise applications.
- Lead ERP optimization, modernization, and transformation initiatives.
- Ensure application portfolios align with enterprise architecture standards and long-term technology strategies.
- Manage application lifecycle activities including upgrades, releases, support, and continuous improvement.

Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with managed service providers, consulting firms, implementation partners, and software vendors.
- Establish vendor performance expectations and ensure service delivery objectives are achieved.
- Support strategic sourcing, contract management, and governance activities.
- Foster cooperative partnerships that drive strong business outcomes.

People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team.
- Create a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Support employee growth, engagement, accountability, and professional development.
- Remove obstacles and empower team members to achieve results.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology.
- Promote adoption of AI, automation, and digital capabilities.
- Drive a culture of innovation,

- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies that can enhance organizational effectiveness.

Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with technology governance, security, architecture, and control frameworks.
- Partner with internal audit, risk, security, and compliance teams.
- Support audit readiness activities and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Ensure appropriate controls are embedded within enterprise platforms and processes.

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience supporting and managing enterprise applications and ERP environments.
- 5+ years of experience leading technical teams and/or third-party service providers.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing application lifecycle processes, release management, and ongoing support models.
- Experience managing external vendors, managed service providers, or implementation partners.
- Experience managing strategic technology partnerships with major software providers.
- Solid understanding of business processes across finance, operations, and corporate functions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service, Workday, OneStream, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Experience developing enterprise technology strategies and roadmaps.
- Experience leading AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience operating within complex organizational change, transformation, growth, or integration environments.
