Summary

Reporting into the Equipment/Shop Manager, the 310T Mechanic will help the shop by maintaining and repairing equipment in the company’s maintenance and repair shop.

Responsibilities

- Complete Annual Safety Inspections for GIP’s over the road fleet.
- Troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy‑duty construction equipment (e.g., bull dozers, loaders, graders, asphalt rollers, asphalt/concrete paving machines, excavators, heavy trucks, etc.) within the shop.
- Work on equipment, trucks and small engines as required.
- Conduct Safety certification inspections.

Qualifications

- Experience with CAT equipment and Kenworth trucks will be an asset.
- 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certification .
- Ability to be enrolled into the DriveOn portal.
- Heavy equipment experience preferred but not required.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
- Understanding of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems and components.
- Comfortable using a computer, the internet, and other electronic resources.
- Mechanical and mathematic aptitude.
- Physical fitness.
- Must have own tools.

Shift/Working Conditions

10‑hour shifts.



Work may involve weekends and overtime as required.

Advantages

Expected Base Wage: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
