We have an opportunity at CNL for a Supply Chain Manager position.
Duration: 2 Years (possible to extend for another year depending on work and performance) Project Start Date/ End Date : ASAP in 2026 to 2028 No per-diem or expenses for this role at Port Hope (unless travel outside Port Hope is requested) Manager, Supply Chain The Manager, Supply Chain (SCM), Reports functionally to the Director, Supply Chain, and has direct impact and responsibility for the delivery of CNL’s program of work and is the functional authority for the oversight and delivery for all contracting, procurement, and Supply Chain Management activities, under his/her portfolio. A University Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Law and/or Economics. PMAC, SCMAO, PMP or equivalent are considered assets. 10+ years of progressively experience in contracting, procurement and supply chain management, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a senior or lead contracting/negotiating capacity. ~ Significant experience in Procure to Pay processes, Contracting lifecycles, and depending on portfolio, in EPC, Design & Build, Design-Bid-Build and formation of complex, $multi million capital projects or programs.
Developing collaborative long term strategic agreements and relationships. Management of high value procurements and acquisitions in complex services, construction, technology or process-based industry. Demonstration of managing and working within high performing integrated program or project teams.
Working in a Nuclear or Regulated environment is preferential. Excellent business judgement and savvy with a proven ability to make decisions under pressure that are of high consequence to risk, performance, and budget. Demonstrated management skills and experience including resource management, budgeting, planning and reporting, team building and relationship management.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of commercial contracts, agreements and terms and conditions, competitive bidding laws of Canada, and Contract Law. Understanding of the Legal system, and how contracts are executed and issues resolved.
Resolves highly complex and/ or specialized professional issues within department/ sub-unit.
Communicates/ provides advanced, highly complex analyses of information/ data to consult/ collaborate on client issues, with broad impact. Key Role in ensuring and promoting a solid understanding of ethical contracting and best business practices. Ensures understanding and compliance of direct reports with all aspects of team/ project budgets based on all areas of responsibility.
All levels of the organization, acting as the organization’s professional expert on contracting strategies, methodologies, and claims management/negotiation. Directors, Managers and Executives across CNL, providing both support in response to critical demands, as well as eliciting support towards compliance of Supply Chain policies, procedures and best practices. Through a team of staff to build the supply chain capabilities necessary to support this business.
Working closely with internal clients, CNL Legal department and other associated stakeholders, defines and leads program and project supply chain strategies, and the associated life cycle of procurement activities including, supplier qualification, Requests for Proposals (RFP), evolution, contract award and subsequent post contract management activities, supplier relationships and supply chain performance across the program. Providing oversight of negotiations and claims on large and/or high risk contracts, including managing internal Project Managers and Leaders, Legal Advisors, and technical experts as necessary through the negotiation process. Ability to foster good collaborative working relationships and communications with Clients/Internal Partners, other functional groups and Bargaining Units and to develop solid Supplier relationships.
Represents the management of CNL in interactions with external suppliers, managing relationships and acting as the key negotiator to resolve contract disputes and issues. Establishing and managing relationships with key Suppliers and ensuring integrity of individual contractual relationships for contracts that are large-scale, high risk and of critical significance to the ongoing success of CNL Incumbent will have excellent oral and written communication both in standard business language as well as Legal documents. Must develop a variety of reports for various audiences (Supplier performance reports, negotiation proposals, briefing notes, business plans, correspondence, etc.) Network of suppliers, partners and Contracting experts throughout the Environmental Remediation and Nuclear Industry.
Effectively communicate in a dynamic project setting utilizing strong management and facilitation skills. Ensures understanding and compliance of direct reports with all aspects of team/ project budgets based on all areas of responsibility Demonstrated management skills and experience including resource management, budgeting, planning and reporting, team building and relationship management OFFICIAL USE ONLY / À USAGE EXCLUSIF Contributes to own performance assessment and development plans/ activities Provides work instruction, feedback and training to new hires/ junior levels; Provides input into performance management of other team members Sets goals and assesses performance of direct reports and ensures the consistent and fair assessment of all employees within the department Ensures the appropriate deployment of human resources to achieve goals Sitting where there is no ability to shift/change one’s position. Regular driving (other than driving to work).
Project deadlines and spontaneous demands which require the incumbent to work beyond the normal workday as a regular occurrence.

Highly hazardous environments and the requirements to wear personal protective equipment to mitigate any potential physical/health hazards.
