Our client, an industry leading food manufacturer upon successful growth, is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees.
What You Will Do:
- Assist with the development and delivery of the CAPEX Master Plan.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality, facilities and safety standards.
- Capital forecasting and timely entry and close out of projects.
- Lead medium to large-scale capital and technical projects across the manufacturing operations.
- Manage projects through all phases, including planning, design, budgeting, procurement, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
- Develop engineering solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and equipment reliability.
- Coordinate contractor management and project execution.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and key performance indicators while providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Apply structured project management methodologies and reporting practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable engineering standards, food safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, and Supply Chain.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce operational costs.
- Perform engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations to resolve technical issues and improve equipment performance.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to support knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Assist in the planning and execution of preventive maintenance and long-term asset management strategies.
- Continuously develop technical expertise and contribute to engineering best practices.
Education and Experience:
- 7+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in a high speed CPG manufacturing.
- Experience with Process Improvement Methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen etc.)
- BA, Engineering or related discipline is required.
- Robust communication and leadership skills with the ability to develop a positive safety culture within the team.
- Hands on commissioning/ new equipment installation.
- Experience in Food Processing environments ideal.
