We're looking for a creative and curious communicator to help tell important stories.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, uncovering compelling stories, creating engaging content, and building an organization's reputation. Working closely with the Vimy Forge team, you'll help strengthen our brand, grow our audience, and position Vimy Forge as a trusted voice within Canada's defence innovation ecosystem.

Primary Responsibilities

As Vimy Forge's Marketing, Communications & PR Coordinator, you will help grow our visibility, strengthen our brand, and communicate the impact of Canada's defence innovation ecosystem and support the rest of the Vimy Forge team as needed.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Social Media Execution – Plan, create, schedule and manage content across Vimy Forge's social media channels.
- Content Creation – Develop engaging written, visual and video content including blogs, newsletters, case studies, partner stories and promotional materials.
- Audience Building – Grow and engage Vimy Forge's audiences across social media, email marketing and other digital channels.
- Graphic Creation – Design graphics, presentations, event materials and digital assets that align with the Vimy Forge brand.
- Audience and Stakeholder Engagement – Monitor and respond to incoming inquiries, manage communications with prospective partners and companies,



and maintain accurate contact records within our CRM.

You'll also have opportunities to:

- Attend industry events and capture content.
- Interview founders, partners and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Contribute ideas for new campaigns and storytelling opportunities.
- Help strengthen Vimy Forge's reputation as Canada's national defence innovation accelerator.

We're Looking For Someone Who

- Is an excellent writer and storyteller.
- Enjoys interviewing people and building relationships.
- Is creative, organized and self-motivated.
- Can turn complex topics into engaging, accessible content.
- Has experience with social media, digital communications and content creation.
- Is interested in innovation, entrepreneurship, public policy or defence.

A recent graduate in communications, journalism, marketing or public relations would be an excellent fit, but equivalent experience and a strong portfolio are equally valued. What You Need to Know

- This position is based in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
- The successful candidate should be available to work from the Vimy Forge office for a portion of each week.
- Outside of meetings and events, work hours are flexible and can often be completed at times that best fit your schedule.
- This is a 10–20 hour per week part-time position.
