JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Global Marketing Manager (GMM), the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for project coordination, graphic design, and digital media support to assist in the implementation of NOD's annual marketing plans and continuous initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will take a proactive, solution-oriented approach, ensuring projects align with the brand, adhere to timelines, and stay within budget, all in pursuit of the company's business goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Project Coordination
Coordinate global marketing projects, managing timelines, competing priorities, stakeholder communications, status reporting, and project deliverables to support company growth and strategic goals.
Content Development & Graphic Design
Create and maintain marketing content across digital and print channels, including NOD’s website, social media, email campaigns, advertising, sales materials, presentations and event collateral, product literature, and other communication materials.
Digital Marketing
Support digital marketing initiatives through graphic design, layout, copywriting, and editing.
· Manage social media in line with NOD’s strategy and according to current best practices; generate organic and paid posts (photo/video capture as required), content calendar creation and publishing, platform and community management.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to maintain website functionality, content accuracy, and user experience, including website page updates through WordPress and Divi CMS platforms.
· Craft and deploy email newsletters via marketing platform (Mailchimp) and maintain subscriber lists.
· Coordinate digital advertising campaigns and educational materials from concept to publish, including adaptation for various audiences, languages, and platforms.
Print Media
· Implement print campaigns from concept to publication, including graphic design, copywriting, and layout according to specific publication and version requirements.
· Develop and edit product packaging, labels, literature and sales/educational materials.
· Handle design and procurement of branded apparel and giveaway items.
· Ensure all materials are appropriately prepared for print production; collaborate with internal and external printing/production resources.
Planning, Analysis & Reporting
· Participate in planning of annual marketing and advertising strategies.
· Assist in department and project budget development; track and control project expenditures.
· Conduct research and prepare professional reports to support company growth and strategic goals.
· Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing activities across social media, email, website, and advertising channels; provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Events & Cross-Functional Support
· Support trade shows, sponsorships, company events, and internal communications initiatives through the creation of materials, provision of goods and services, and attendance on occasion.
· Assist the Sales team and other departments with marketing-related needs.
· Provide support to other departments as required, based on business needs and individual expertise.
· Participate in company and industry events to build knowledge of beekeeping, manufacturing, and the apiculture industry.
Asset & Compliance Management
· Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and NOD's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
· Maintain marketing asset library (e.g. photographs, videos, and graphics).
· Support basic pharmacovigilance (product safety monitoring and reporting) activities when required; training provided.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Completion of post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, business administration with specialization in marketing, or a related field
· Graphic Design qualifications or relevant experience
· 3 to 5 years of experience in a marketing role
· Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
· Strong understanding of graphic design and print production fundamentals
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
· Experience managing social and digital marketing platforms, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and emerging trends; digital training certifications are considered assets (e.g. Google Skillshop, Meta Blueprint)
· Ability to work as a team member, both as a leader and a peer
· Solid decision-making and organizational skills with resourcefulness, creativity, and initiative
· Excellent project management and prioritization skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines
· Experience in beekeeping or the apiculture industry is considered an asset
