Overview

We are a well-established masonry and construction company specializing in brick, block, stone, stucco, siding, and related exterior construction work. We are currently seeking an experienced Masonry Estimator to join our team at our Vaughan, Ontario office.

The successful candidate will have solid knowledge of masonry and exterior construction, excellent drawing-reading and quantity takeoff skills, and experience preparing competitive bids and tenders for General Contractors.

Responsibilities

- Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, tender packages, and addenda
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates
- Calculate quantities for brick, block, stone, stucco, siding, rebar, grout, mortar, and related materials
- Prepare detailed tenders, bids, and scopes of work
- Review General Contractor tender packages and identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential estimating risks
- Use PlanSwift or similar estimating and quantity takeoff software
- Prepare estimates and reports using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Obtain and analyze supplier and subcontractor pricing when required
- Manage multiple projects and tender deadlines simultaneously
- Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, General Contractors, and internal project teams as required

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven experience in masonry estimating
- Strong knowledge of brick,



block, stone, stucco, and siding construction
- Excellent ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Strong quantity takeoff and estimating skills
- Experience with PlanSwift or similar estimating software
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills
- Experience preparing construction tenders and bids
- Experience working with General Contractors and tender packages
- Ontario construction industry experience is required
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
