About Us At SprintMind Education Center, we are dedicated to providing high-quality academic programming that builds confidence, sharpens critical thinking, and fosters a genuine love for learning. As we prepare for our fall term starting the week of September 14th, we are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Math Teacher to lead our elementary and Grade 7–8 math groups at our center.

The Role We are seeking an educator who can go beyond standard instruction to truly challenge and engage young minds, while also fostering an inclusive setting for all learners. You will be responsible for delivering lessons aligned with the Ontario Math Curriculum, accommodating diverse learning needs, and enriching the experience for high-achieving students preparing for competitive math challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging math lessons for students from elementary up to Grade 8 at our center.
- Ensure all lesson plans strictly adhere to and comprehensively cover the Ontario Math Curriculum.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to support students with special needs and exceptionalities.
- Prepare students for provincial standardized testing, specifically EQAO assessments.
- Train and mentor students for competitive math contests,



including Spirit of Math, Kangaroo Math, and the University of Waterloo’s Beaver Computing Challenge.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification OR actively enrolled in/completed a recognized teacher training program.
- Curriculum Expertise: Deep familiarity with the current Ontario Mathematics Curriculum (Grades 1–8).
- Contest Experience: Strong working knowledge of and experience preparing students for math competitions (e.g., Kangaroo Math, Spirit of Math, Beaver Computing Challenge).
- Inclusive Education (Asset): Experience teaching and accommodating students with special needs and exceptionalities is highly valued.
- Skills: Excellent communication, classroom management, and the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in an accessible, age-appropriate way.
