DVTEST is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the design, development, and production of custom RF enclosures and related systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and leadership teams, supporting projects from concept through manufacturing and final documentation.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on involvement, problem-solving, and working in a dynamic environment where no two projects are the same. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop RF enclosures utilizing sheet metal, machined components, and other mechanical assemblies.
Create layouts for RF enclosure I/O plates and associated mechanical interfaces.
Generate and maintain 3D CAD models, CNC files, conceptual designs, manufacturing drawings, and as-built documentation.
Assist with the assembly and integration of RF enclosures and related equipment.
Produce detailed shop assembly drawings, instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
Support the creation and maintenance of system-level documentation, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering records.
Review and update documentation to support ISO quality standards and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with production personnel to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and facilitate efficient production builds.
Participate in continuous improvement activities related to product design and manufacturing processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent DVTEST in a qualified manner at all times. Qualifications
Required
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
Experience creating manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
Understanding of sheet metal design, machining processes, and mechanical assemblies.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Preferred
Skills
Experience with RF enclosures, test equipment, or electronic packaging.
Familiarity with CNC manufacturing processes and file generation.
Experience supporting ISO-compliant quality systems.
Hands-on assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing experience. DVTEST does not use AI to screen, assess, or select job applicants.
