Eascan Automation Inc. — Mechanical Designer — Automation

Winnipeg, MB | Full-time | $70,000–$100,000 | Multiple positions | Entry to senior

You will design custom automated machinery from first concept through to a machine running on a customer's floor. That means working shoulder to shoulder with our engineering, controls, manufacturing, and project management people, and seeing your drawings turn into something that actually moves.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Design automation equipment, machine assemblies, and tooling in 3D CAD.
- Produce manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and assembly documentation.
- Develop concepts and mechanical layouts from customer specifications.
- Run design reviews and fold the feedback back in as projects progress.
- Coordinate with electrical, controls, and manufacturing so everything integrates.
- Support prototype builds, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Keep designs in line with safety standards and sound engineering practice.
- Help improve and standardize how we design.

WHAT YOU BRING
- A diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or engineering technology.
- Mechanical design experience, ideally in industrial automation or custom machinery. We are hiring at several levels, so tell us where you are.
- Strong 3D CAD skills in SolidWorks, Inventor, or Siemens NX.
- A solid grasp of manufacturing processes, machine components, pneumatics, and assemblies.
- Experience creating fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Good judgment, transparent communication, and the organization to juggle several projects.

NICE TO HAVE
- Robotic cells, conveyors, or automated production equipment.
- Machine safety standards and risk assessment.
- Pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and motion control systems.
- PDM or PLM systems.

HIRING AT HOME This role is based at our shop on Wall Street in Winnipeg. We are putting our hiring into Manitoba, into the local trades and the local economy, and we are proud of that.
