Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist Salary: $76,530 - $95,662- $105,229 per year (pay range explained below) Contract: Permanent, Casual Hours: 2-3 days a week in office (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri) Location: Park Royal Office, West Vancouver – on the traditional and unceded territories of the Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations - Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About The Role As Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will – provide technical leadership and expertise in the provisioning of Laboratory and Diagnostic Services for the FNHA community based testing initiatives (community lab/clinical settings) across the Province).



Participates in the planning and coordination of services; monitors the quality of technical work performed to ensure sites standards are met and safety procedures are followed. The position requires substantive travel to multiple sites with a focus on training, coaching, clinical oversight and leading team members.

Facilitates workplace solutions and the implementation of new techniques and procedures.

About You To be successful in this role you will have/be – Education Completion of an accredited post-secondary credential in Medical Laboratory Science, complemented by either a Bachelor of Science degree or an Advanced Registered certificate and/or completion of a supervisory/management program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Certified by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).

Experience A minimum of five (5) years’ recent, related experience including two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge

Comprehensive knowledge and recent related experience in related discipline.

Comprehensive knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Laboratory Technologists established by the CSMLS and/or other relevant national professional associations.

Knowledge of First Nations cultures and backgrounds.

Knowledge of public health models, concepts, and other health care disciplines and their role in patient care.

Knowledge and competency with laboratory information systems and medical device software applications. Working at FNHA As a member of the team,

The Pay

Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.

Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
