The Medial Assistant will facilitate and provide care to patients during their clinical visit with a family physician, specialist or walk-in physician.
The job comprises of:
Performs all medical tasks delegated by the attending physician.
Contributes to ensuring there is a safe workplace for patients, staff and visitors.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; Calls for assistance from health care support personnel, if required.
Documents patient care services by charting in patient records.
Take all patient vitals and history Maintain patient information electronically
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Proof of completed Immunization course.
Must demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of general medicine.
Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with health professionals and patients.
Must possess the ability to function effectively in a clinical setting.
Must be reliable, dependable and flexible.
Good attendance record.
Experience with ACCURO EMR is an asset.
Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self-management, accountability, flexibility and adaptability.
Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications and ability to research on the Internet.
Good leadership skills and interpersonal and communication skills, including written, to work within a diverse community and ability to deal empathetically with patients, family members, etc., to contribute to their well-being.
Ability to work effectively independently or as a part of a multidisciplinary health care team.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
