Make a difference as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the Vancouver Island Health Authority in Alert Bay, BC. Open to shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, this position may require traveling between sites for optimal patient support. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform established laboratory procedures accurately
- Communicate effectively with patients and health care providers
- Maintain knowledge of laboratory testing techniques and policies
- Work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrate procedures to students and fellow staff Requirements:
- Registration with CAMLPR or CSMLS certification
- Graduation from a Medical Laboratory Technology program
- Recent core laboratory experience within the last six years
- Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills
