Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Mid-Level Full-Cycle Accountant to take end-to-end ownership of our day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you will manage every stage of the accounting lifecycle—from transactional entries and reconciliations through month-end close, financial statement preparation, and audit readiness.
The ideal candidate works comfortably across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions, bringing solid systems literacy and a track record of meeting deadline-driven reporting requirements.
Responsibilities for a portion of the following
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Maintain general ledger integrity by recording daily journal entries, managing prepaids, accruals, fixed asset schedules, and intercompany transactions.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead month-end close procedures, compile trial balances, prepare working papers, and draft preliminary financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement).
- AR & AP Operations: Oversee accounts receivable (billing, collections, cash applications) and accounts payable (vendor invoice coding, approvals, payment processing, 1099/tax filings).
- Reconciliations: Perform timely monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Tax & Statutory Compliance: Prepare and submit local sales tax remittances (e.g., Sales Tax, GST/HST/PST where applicable), payroll taxes, and statutory filings on time.
- Variance & Financial Analysis: Conduct monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis and offer actionable insight into spend trends.
- Audit Support: Prepare audit schedules, gather documentation, and serve as a point of contact for external auditors and tax preparers.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 3+years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience.
- Technical Mastery:
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Direct experience with ERP/Accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online).
- Compliance: Working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation · Base salary: starting at $85,000 up to $90,000 depending on experience and knowledge.
· Benefits: Full corporate coverage including dental and health.
· Vacation: 2 weeks + 9 days from December 24 to January 2.
Preferred Qualifications
· Active CPA designation or advanced level of CPA designation.
- Experience with payroll software platforms.
- Background in real estate development or rental operations.
Pay: $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
