Join the network at Onecall Roadside Repair Ltd as a Mobile Heavy-Duty Truck &

- Trailer Technician (310T / 310J). In this field-based role, you will work primarily outdoors on active highway shoulders, docks, yards, and weigh stations—providing critical on-site diagnostics, emergency roadside repairs, and mobile maintenance for commercial semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, and heavy fleets across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and major Ontario transport corridors. This position offers high autonomy, flexible dispatch options, and premium earning potential for experienced mechanics who thrive in real-world mobile environments.

Duties

- On-the-Road Repair Work: Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, air system, and hydraulic repairs outdoors under changing weather and roadside conditions.

- On-Site Diagnostics &
- Forced Regen:

Execute laptop/OBD diagnostic scans, clear fault codes, and conduct forced DPF/DEF regenerations directly at the breakdown location.

- Air Brakes &

- Suspension Service:

Diagnose air leaks, replace faulty valves, chambers, lines, air bags, and make brake adjustments to restore MTO compliance on-site.

- Trailer Service: Repair structural trailer components, landing gear, door latches/hinges, lighting, and wiring harnesses directly in customer yards or shipping docks.

- Roadside Safety Protocols: Implement strict roadside safety procedures, including setup of warning gear, proper PPE,



and high-visibility hazards while working on active highway shoulders.

- Dispatch Reporting: Communicate job progress, repair details, and completion status directly to central dispatch.

Experience &

- Requirements

- Licensing: Valid 310T (Truck &
- Coach)

or 310J (Trailer) License, Red Seal endorsement, or equivalent trade qualification.

- Field Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty diesel technician, fleet mechanic, or mobile repair specialist.

- Independent Mechanics, Tools &

- Parts Management:

We are looking for fully self-directed mechanics. You must know exactly which tools and equipment are needed for each scenario, own a complete set of skilled hand/air tools and mobile diagnostic gear, and be capable of sourcing and procuring required repair parts on location to complete the job efficiently.

- Service Vehicle: Reliable service truck or vehicle equipped for mobile dispatch.

- Driver’s License: Valid driver's license (Class G, Class D, or Class A with Z endorsement) with a clean driving record.

- Outdoors &

- Field Adaptability:

Comfortable working outdoors in varying roadside conditions, managing time independently, and solving complex mechanical issues under roadside constraints.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
