We are looking for an exceptional, engaged, excited and dedicated Montessori Preschool Educator at Cochrane Valley Montessori School. Responsibility of Primary Directress at CVMS:

- Develop and implement a high-quality Montessori program that supports and promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children within a Montessori environment
- Plan and maintain a high-quality environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or challenges with parents and other staff members
- Support children in the development of their self-help skills and independence
- Working with children with special needs, assessing, evaluating and documenting of observations
- Assisting with the writing of reports (Report Cards, Individual program plans, Environmental Impact statements etc.). Excellent command of English written communication skills will be required
- Establish and maintain a collaborative and communicative relationship with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required




- Work in partnership to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials; create and introduce teacher-made materials as required to support the developmental needs of the children

Qualifications To be successful at Cochrane Valley Montessori School you need:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment
- The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Experience in planning and implementing programs in a primary Montessori environment
- Diploma in Montessori with Pedagogical experience
- Child Development Worker/ Supervisor Certification
- 1 – 3 years working in a Montessori environment
- A current Criminal Check & Vulnerable Sector screening
- Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
