Job Summary

Join our dynamic film production team as a National Lifeguard, dedicated to ensuring safety around aquatic environments on set. This vital role involves overseeing water safety protocols, monitoring aquatic scenes, and providing emergency response support to keep cast and crew secure during filming. Your expertise in swimming and heavy lifting will be essential in maintaining a protected, efficient, and professional environment for all production activities involving water.

Duties

- Monitor all water-related scenes to ensure safety protocols are strictly followed by cast and crew.
- Conduct regular inspections of aquatic areas, including pools, tanks, or open water sites used during filming.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid or rescue as needed.
- Assist with setting up safety equipment such as life buoys, rescue tubes, and barriers before filming begins.
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment, safety gear, or rescue tools to support production needs.
- Maintain detailed logs of safety checks, incidents, and emergency responses for compliance and review.




- Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement water safety plans tailored to each scene.

Qualifications

- Proven swimming ability with certification in lifeguarding from a recognized organization.
- Experience in aquatic safety management or lifeguarding in dynamic environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently under various conditions.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with cast, crew, and emergency responders.
- Calm under pressure with quick decision-making skills during emergencies.
- Physical fitness suitable for prolonged periods of standing, swimming, and lifting tasks.
- Must be in North Bay or able to commute.
- Must have access to reliable vehicle.
